Today I’m sharing the wedding of Charlotte & Luke. This was my first Barton Hall Wedding, a relatively new venue in Northamptonshire, and certainly one which has been very popular since it opened.
I started the day with Luke and his two Best Men at his parent’s home which was conveniently located within walking distance of Barton Hall. Its always great if I can cover some of the groom prep in the morning. It adds just that little bit extra to the story of the wedding day. Of course you can always book to have a second photographer to cover this but sometimes it just isn’t necessary. If the bride and groom are getting ready near to each other, or indeed at the same location, I can easily photograph the preparations and nerves of both!
Having spent about half an hour with the boys I made my way over to Barton Hall to meet up with Charlotte and her bridesmaids having their hair and make-up done. Alongside documenting the build up to the marriage ceremony I spent a fair bit of time photographing all of the details that had been laid out and arranged by the fabulous Through The Looking Glass Events. They’d gone to town with a real vintage look through the venue.
When I first met up with Charlotte and Luke to chat about their wedding day they explained to me that they hoped their day would be all about having a good time and lots of fun with family and friends. I reckon they certainly achieved that and more! Lots of emotion and tears during the marriage ceremony and the speeches with plenty of laughter and happiness throughout the day.
Here are just a few select photos from their amazing Barton Hall wedding.
Charlotte and Luke, thanks for having me there to capture those special moments on your wedding day. I wish you all the happiness for the future.
