Miri & Danny – Barn Wedding with a sprinkling of Jewish flavour

The wedding of Miri & Danny saw me back at one of my regular venues, the fabulous Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire.  I’d previously photographed Jewish weddings but only as a second photographer. This did mean that I was prepared for some very energetic and frenetic action throughout the day.  One thing you’ll see is very evident from the photos below is just how much fun everyone had on the day.  So many smiles.  And so much laughter.  After the ceremony which took place in the main barn at Dodford Manor guests headed outside into glorious summer sunshine and warmth for drinks, canapes, music, popcorn and candyfloss!

Just before the wedding breakfast it was time for some of that energetic jewish dancing back in the main barn.  I get exhausted just looking back at the photos!  The speeches were awesome.  Danny’s was practically a masterclass in what a groom’s speech should be. I wish I’d recorded it so I could have then used elements of it when I was best man for my brother later in the year. Portraits of Miri and Danny are up there with some of my very favourites that I’ve ever taken.  They were just so easy going with so much joy and love between them it made it so easy to capture their personalities.  Into the evening yet more fun and dancing.  A truly memorable wedding that I loved capturing.  I’m sure it will always be one of my favourite weddings that I’ve had the honour of photographing.
