Dodmoor House Wedding Photography

Dodmoor House Wedding venue is one of my absolute favourite venues to photograph at. Dodmoor House is a barn wedding venue in Northamptonshire, not far from the main county town of Northampton.  There are three barns which have been beautifully converted to make stunning locations for a wedding.

The Courtyard Barn is generally used for the marriage ceremonies and can be set out in a couple of different ways. Later in the day this barn can also be used for drinks reception if the weather isn’t great, and also for the evening reception as a breakout from the main dancefloor action.

The Catesby Barn is where the wedding breakfast usually takes place along with the evening reception where the DJ or band would be set up to entertain guests.  Also in this barn is the main bar which serves all you’d need including some wonderful gins!

The other barn at Dodmoor House is used for morning pre-ceremony prep but is also the honeymoon suite.

The grounds of Dodmoor House are stunning.  So many beautiful areas that are the perfect backdrop to your wedding photos. The Courtyard is the heart of the venue is where a lot of the action takes place. Beyond the courtyard though are some incredible areas including the large lawn area which is perfect for drinks and summer games.  As a photographer I’m completely spoilt for choice when it comes to backdrops to portraits.  Favourite spots for me are near the old brick wall, in front of some of the old barn doors, and it’s just a short walk to the canal.
