Chilled Out Festival Vibe Wedding

I can’t believe I’ve not blogged Jemma & Laura’s Festival Vibe wedding already! It’s up there in my list of all time favourite weddings I’ve photographed. What is there not love about this day? Outdoor ceremony. BBQ food, pizza and waffles! Horsebox bar. Live music. There was even a freaking inflatable Helter Skelter for goodness sake! But more than all of those cool things there was an absolute abundance of love and fun on this day. So many smiles. So many happy people.

From the very first conversations I had with Jemma & Laura it was clear that this day was going to be super fun. Super chilled out. And simply a joy to capture. On the day I photographed and I had Toby and my wife Tina filming (the highlight film from the day is a bit further down). I had with me a great team already, but I was then also surrounded by some of the best suppliers out there. This was my second wedding at Escheat Farm in Bedfordshire with the day being co-ordinated and run by the fantastic Hannah of Fields & Festoons. Live music in the afternoon was provided by the talented Jade Thornton and then in the evening by The Blue Rinse Band who always get the crowd up dancing.

Guests certainly weren’t going to go hungry or thirsty throughout the day. Food in the daytime was provided by The Rub BBQ with all sorts of barbecue food and then in the evening guests were treated to pizza from Soho Gourmet. Have I mentioned the Waffles? Those sweet delicious waffles from Waffle Wands. For those who were thirsty drinks were served to guests from a converted horse box provided by Bells & Whistles.

Anyway enough of the chat from me. Let it be know that I just love photographing festival vibe weddings like this so if you’re planning similar take a look at the photos below. WARNING!!! Before you scroll down to some of my favourite photos from the day. If you’re offended by boobs and nipples don’t scroll down to view the photos. Instagram and Facebook certainly don’t like them and have twice removed the photos I’m referencing from their platforms. What happened to the #freethenipple movement hey!

I absolutely love photographing these outside festival vibe weddings so if you’re planning your own then do get in touch to see if I’m available to shoot the day for you.

This is what Jemma & Laura had to say…

“My wife and I couldn’t speak more highly of Aaron, Tina and the team at Aaron Collett Photography and Neon Trifle. Entrusting someone with something as precious as your wedding day memories is a daunting task, there are no do-overs so picking the right person is vital.

We are SO thankful that we found them, and so grateful for the astounding job they did on our photos and video. They totally understood our vison right from our first phone call. We wanted to be away from our guests for the least amount of time possible, which I know was in the forefront of the teams mind on the day. We wanted beautiful candid shots of our guests, which were delivered in bucketfulls!

We have just received our highlights video, and have watched it on loop since we did. It has already far exceeded our expectations, we are blown away with the skill at which this has been put together. So thank you Aaron and the team, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving us the most incredible snippets of our day to treasure forever.”
