Jade and Lee are such a lovely couple. I remember leaving them after their consultation meeting and really hoping that they would pick me to be the photographer for their Barton Hall Wedding. When I heard from them asking me to photograph their wedding I think I may have done one of my happy dances around the living room!
On their wedding day I started with bridal prep at Jade & Lee’s home just a short drive from Great Oakley Church which was where their marriage ceremony was to take place. The weather on the day was completely crazy. Sunshine one minute, torrential rain the next, and at the exact time that guests and bridesmaids arrive at the church. Within moments again bright sunshine.
Once the ceremony was complete everyone headed to Barton Hall in Kettering for the wedding reception. The best men speeches were probably some of the best I’ve ever heard. It wasn’t your average wedding speech. Aided by various images of Lee throughout the years the best men did an awesome job of performing a rap song about the groom. Safe to say pretty much everyone found it hilarious.
Barton Hall has some lovely areas for bride and groom portraits. The Orangery itself is a stunning backdrop, and in the late spring / early summer the grounds are full of leafy lush trees. I love the portraits we managed to get in the early evening.
Into the evening and the party was in full swing. The Stray Horns provided the musical entertainment and they sure know how to get everyone in the party mood. This wedding sure was a memorable one for me, I loved every minute of Jade & Lee’s special day. Here are a few photos from the day.
If you’re planning your own Barton Hall Wedding I’d love to hear from you. So get in touch and check whether I’m available for your wedding day.
