I present to you Charlotte & Henry’s Finch’s Arms Hambleton Wedding.
When it came to choosing the venue for their wedding Charlotte and Henry had a really easy decision. Charlotte’s family own the Finch’s Arms and its been in the family for over 20 years. As a result Charlotte had always dreamed about getting married there. They chose to have a completely clear marquee set up at the rear of the pub. The styling was absolutely stunning with a real outside inside feel – with lots of foliage, trees, and flowers. It was touch and go during the setting up of the marquee with gale force winds adding to the challenge. Luckily on the day the winds calmed down a bit!
The ceremony itself took place at St Andrews Church just a short walk from the Finch’s Arms. Charlotte’s most memorable moment of the day was walk down the aisle at the church with her dad. I think its fair to say emotions ran high – Charlotte said “My Dad and I cried all the way down, it was very emotional! My favourite film growing up was Father of the Bride, so we mirrored the ceremony scene and had a string quartet playing while I walked down the aisle, it was everything I had always dreamed of.”
Straight after the wedding we headed down to the waterfront of Rutland Water for photos with the bridesmaids and the groomsmen – unfortunately just we still had a bit of that wind and just for extra fun a little bit of drizzle – no worries though, we powered through that wonderful English weather to get a few photos. Later on went the rain cleared up for a little bit we headed out for a few portraits around the very picturesque village of Hambleton.
Into the evening there was plenty going on to keep guests entertained. Photo booth, beer pong and great music from the Soul Beat Band. Below you’ll find a few images to sum up the day, hope you enjoy looking through them.
Many thanks to Charlotte & Henry for asking me to photograph their amazing day.
