My first Skylark Farm Wedding was for Kirsty & Craig at the beginning of the 2018 wedding season. Skylark Farm Wedding venue is relatively new location for weddings in Northamptonshire. Located near to Daventry its on the edge of Northamptonshire and close to Warwickshire. With a stunning landscape of rolling hills and impressive views for wedding guests to look out on. As well as being a wedding venue, in the week days a cafe, the farm is also a fully working farm. Lots of chickens there trust me!
So, to Kirsty & Craig’s wedding day. I started the day with Kirsty and her bridesmaids at the Clock Tower B&B near Daventry – a perfect location for pre-wedding preparations. With most of the hair and make-up complete Kirsty & Craig’s twin daughters arrived to get ready for the day as flower girls. The two of them quite possible stole the show on the day!
Kirsty and her bridesmaids were driven to Skylark Farm Wedding venue in a beautiful VW Campervan from Silk & Satin Weddings. And then once the ceremony was completed they were kind enough to take Kirsty & Craig along with myself for a spin in the camper so that we could head off into the Northamptonshire countryside and stop of for a few portraits. One of the many perks of my job getting to have rides in cool modes of transport.
Back at Skylark Farm for the drinks reception I got to work with the formal group photos and candids of guests before everyone was treated to some top class grub. Speeches were great fun to photograph following which we headed outside for a few more bride and groom portraits. And then into the evening fun with plenty of dancing and a cracking Photo Booth.
