Lottie & Alex – Shropshire Marquee Wedding

Lottie & Alex’s Shropshire Marquee Wedding is up there amongst my all time favourite weddings. It was a perfect weekend to be honest. Tina second shot for me at the wedding so she and I drove to Shropshire the evening before the wedding and stayed at a lovely B&B owned and run by friends of Lottie’s family. Starting the day with a wonderful full english breakfast is the only way to start a wedding day in my opinion! The weather on the day was absolutely perfect for a marquee wedding.  Sunny, dry, warm (ok it was blummin’ hot) a perfect summers day.

The ceremony took place at St Andrew and St Mary Church in Condover, Shropshire. The rest of the day took place on Berriewood Farm, an equestrian centre owned and run by Lottie’s family.  A tradition pole marquee was set up on cross country course and was filled with wild flowers expertly arranged by Alex’s sister Cathy. Also within the marquee was a glitter station and a dressing up station… yes you heard that right. Face masks, wigs, outfits and props so everyone could let loose in the evening. It made for great photos but also probably one of the most unusual photos I’ve ever taken… Donald Trump masks on small children are a very strange sight!

The bridal party looked amazing, the wedding guests were great fun, the speeches were top drawer, the music entertainment by the Lux Band was top class, the food by Roslin Catering was scrumptious. Everything at this wedding received a big tick!

When you end the day with the bride and groom jumping for joy of a hay bale whilst the groom is dressed in a lobster suit then you know its been a great wedding. To be honest, Tina and I didn’t really want to leave the party but we had to travel to Birmingham to be ready for a flight to the South of France for a wedding two days later (wedding soon be blogged!).

“Oh my gosh, we are just so blown away by the photos!
They are awesome and really capture the day perfectly.
Thank you so so much!”

We just wanted to tell you how happy we are that we chose you to do our wedding photography. You guys were both so professional but also fun and chilled, which really helped the day to flow beautifully, and meant that we could both completely relax and enjoy every second of the day, so thank you!!”

We love Shropshire Weddings and would love to photograph more there – particularly if you’re planning a day filled with your favourite people having a bloody good time surrounded by the most beautiful countryside.  Planning such an event? Then get in touch if you’ve liked what you’ve seen here and lets chat about your wedding day plans.
