Back to one of my regular and favourite wedding venues for this week’s blog post. I always thoroughly enjoy shooting weddings at Dodmoor House and Beth & Darren’s big day was no exception. I started the day with Darren and the rest of his groomsmen covering the morning prep at home whilst Steve, my second shooter, headed straight to Dodmoor House to cover bridal prep. I’d been tipped off by Beth prior to the wedding that she’d arranged a bit of a surprise for Darren. The surprise being that he was going to be driven to the wedding in style having arranged the most beautiful example of a Jaguar E-Type to pick him up.
Very early on I knew that Beth and Darren’s daughter, Ivy, was going to steal the show. Ivy and pageboy Joey were an adorable couple of characters. During the ceremony they came together for a little hug, completely unprompted and right in front of me. I swooped down low and captured possibly my favourite photo I’ve taken during a ceremony at Dodmoor… its down below – you’ll see what I mean about the two of them being adorable.
With that Jaguar E-Type there I just had to get a few portraits of Beth & Darren taken with the vibrant red working so well with the lush greenery in front of the main house at Dodmoor, the image right above here being another absolute favourite photo of mine. Further portraits were taken all around the venue, proving again that you simply can’t get bored of the locations Dodmoor House has to offer.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches evening guests participated in a sparkler arch and then partied the night away with 1Entertainments.
I’ve collated a few of my favourite photos from Beth & Darren’s wedding day, hope you like them!
If you’re planning your wedding at Dodmoor House and would like to chat more about your wedding photography then please do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you. Also, if you’ve visited Dodmoor House recently to take a look around you may have seen my new sample album which I created using photos from Beth & Darren’s wedding. Below are a few snapshots of the album in case you didn’t get to see it in person.
