Alice & Adam – Bicester Wedding

Alice & Adam’s Bicester Wedding took place on an absolutely glorious warm summers day.  I’d previously met both Alice and Adam at a number of previous weddings all of which had been great fun to shoot so I knew their wedding day would also be a cracker. The wedding ceremony took place at St Edburgs Church in Bicester. The rest of the day took place in the stunning grounds of Alice’s parents home just a short walk from the church in Bicester. I’d previously photographed tipi weddings, and plenty of marquee weddings, but Alice and Adam’s wedding was the first to have a yurt.  What a fantastic space it was too for the wedding breakfast and of course the crazy dance floor action later in the evening.

The weather on the day was incredible.  Very sunny, and very warm. Possibly a bit too warm for a three piece suit!  I was spoilt for choice on the day for backdrops for the bride and groom portraits. The gardens were spectacular full of summer blossom and vibrant colour. We also took a walk through some of the nearby streets – you know I love a set of wooden gates.

It was great to see a lot of familiar faces on the day with three of my previous brides and grooms in attendance (Yuki & Chris / Charlotte & Luke / Sorcha & Lee).  Highlights from the day for me would be firstly the speeches.  A cracking set of speeches from everyone but particularly the best men who pulled out all the stops with digging out a plethora of embarrassing photos of Adam over the years.  And secondly the full commitment from everyone on the dance floor in the evening to properly loosen up and go wild…!  There most definitely will have been a few sore heads in the morning.

Take a look at a few of my favourite images from the day.
